Find The Right Tent Colours For Your EventChoosing the correct tent colour for your venue can be one of the most important decisions you make when specifying an event tent. It's worth exercising a little creativity at this stage as each tent colour can have a very different effect on the interior ambience - especially when you individualise it with custom décor and lighting. Tentickle event tents come in a wide range of colours and sizes. Each colour has its own special purpose along with various pros and cons, depending on how it is used. Here is a brief guide to our standard tent colours and how they are typically used: MULTI-PURPOSE TENT COLOURSWhite Tents
White tents bring a traditional elegance that makes them so popular for wedding tent hire. White is also a popular colour for high profile events and beach venues, as well as providing the perfect surface for projections and amazing light displays for night time functions. However, because of its tendency to show marks, White is the most high-maintenance tent colour. Rigging teams need to take extra care not to dirty the tent during set-up and breakdown and groundsheets must always be used. Consequently, white generally costs a little more to hire than other tent colours. The rigorous cleaning required between each function to guarantee a snow-white tent not only takes longer, it reduces the overall lifetime of the fabric. White tents also show dirt and dust more easily, making them less suitable for certain environments. Cream
As an alternative to White Tents, Cream is advisable for permanent installations as it does not show dust accumulation so readily (although dust is unavoidable with long-term pitches) and the sun reflection is not so harsh. Not only is Cream more cost-effective than White, in many settings its close colour match makes it a perfectly acceptable and lower maintenance alternative. Silver Grey
Suitable for smart or formal occasions, weddings, corporate events or just about any other function, Silver Grey is the most common and versatile tent colour. It blends perfectly with natural surroundings and doesn't readily show dirt or dust. Silver Grey also tends not to give a faded appearance over time, so looks original for longer. Projections and light displays work very well with this colour. Add a few brightly coloured Stretch Décor pieces and you can transform the neutral grey very quickly into a funky tent set up. Beige
As the warmest standard tent colour, Beige creates a perfectly cosy, rustic or natural atmosphere. Suffusing the interior of the tent with yellow, orange, red and purple lights gives a unique effect for night functions by emphasising the actual tent colour. Beige tents blend into all beach surroundings and are great for Mediterranean, safari or sandstone environments. Add some poufs, low tables and Persian carpets and you can create an authentic Bedouin / Moroccan theme for your special event. Savannah
A few shades darker than our Beige fabric, light-brown Savannah is another natural colour that blends in perfectly with most surroundings and looks amazing with our unique wooden poles. Easier to keep clean, Savannah is perfect for your Bushveld camp, wine farm or safari-style wedding or off-road trip. Anthracite:
After many requests for a darker version of Silver Grey, we have matched Anthracite as a standard colour. A warmer, darker version of Silver Grey, Anthracite blends perfectly with most natural surroundings and enhances existing structures. Being darker than Silver Grey, it is easier to keep clean yet still enables intelligent lighting inside the tent to convey a powerful effect at night. Black:
Black Bedouin tents were originally used by the desert tribes of North Africa. Our 21st Century version of Black tents are stylish, elegant and easy to keep clean. They also absorb a lot of light and are easier on the eyes in very bright or harsh conditions. However, Black tents do tend to get quite hot inside on very warm days, so, when purchasing Black tents, we recommend the addition of "Factor X" (UV and heat deflector agent). |
BRIGHT TENT COLOURSAll bright colours like Yellow, Orange, Red, Turquoise and Royal Blue are highly suitable for sponsored events. They can also liven up the setting when used 0in rainy or grey weather conditions. Most of our clients in countries where rain and cloud are common believe brightly coloured party event tents create a brighter, more colourful and funky vibe. Also, most bright colours don't show dirt so much, which means they won't need cleaning as often as the lighter colours. Red:
Red is the natural colour of love and hugely popular as the most used brand colour around the world. Even a small Red tent or canopy is great for making a bold statement. Burned Orange:
As well as being another popular brand colour Burned Orange creates a warm and cosy atmosphere. Burned Orange should not be mistaken with Bright or Signal Orange as it is much more subtle than these colours. Royal Blue:
Royal blue combines very well with most of the other bright colours and is also often used as a third brand colour. Royal Blue tents are about the best for concealing dirt and dust, meaning they don't need washing as often as tents in other colours. Please note, it is not advisable to use Blue or Green tent colours if you are serving food under the tent. Blue or Green light reflection generally makes food look very unappetising. Yellow:
Vivid and striking, Yellow creates more of an uplifting effect for the eye than almost any other colour. It also works well with other bright tent colours. Just be careful in dusty environments with Yellow as it will show any accumulation of dust fairly quickly. Turquoise:
Turquoise also combines well with other bright tent colours. Simultaneously smart and funky, Tentickle's Turquoise tents have added a splash of sexy colour to many events. Pink:
Pink tents represent the colour of universal love and happiness, as well as feelings of calmness, order and relaxation. Choose a Pink tent for an unforgettable birthday, anniversary celebration or funky Valentine's day party for the special person in your life.
